Michelle Madasamy

Teacher / Accompanist / Performer

Pianist Michelle Madasamy has pursued a varied career as an educator and performer since earning her Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Western Washington University. As a member of the U.S. Navy Band Great Lakes, Michelle performed for millions of audience members throughout the Midwest Region. More recently, she has performed at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, and the Mannes Beethoven Institute. She has served as a collaborative pianist for musicals, choirs, and instrumentalists. Notable teachers include Lorraine Min, Carol Honigberg, and Yuri Kim.

An interest in education led Michelle to pursue a Master’s degree in music education from Long Island University. She is a New York State certified music educator and her students have won state competitions and achieved highest marks at state festivals.

Music education is Michelle’s passion. She enjoys getting to know her students and figuring out how to best help them achieve their goals. Her long experience as an educator includes not only individual lessons but also group classes at all levels, from pre-school to university.
